Completed ELSA WILLIAMS Crewel Model JACK IN THE PULPIT Flowers 16x16 JCA New

Description

For sale is a vintage design by Elsa Williams. This crewel embroidery is mounted on to cardboard backing. It is a stunning embroidery. The title is Jack in the Pulpit which is a very unusal flower.
This particular embroidery is 16 x 16 as it has a wide mat - sage green in color. The actual embroidery area is 10 x 10. The embroidery is done on a open weave fabric. There are some creases and marks on the mat. On the back there is a fabric tab which could be placed over a wooden dowel.
Did find a similar embroidery that is a vintage design that dates back to the 1980s.
Included in this listing is a picture of that embroidery which is shown for reference only as this item does not come with a kit.  In that picture it shows a different color mat which really makes the color in the embroidery pop!

Size : 8" x 18" finished or 12" x 22" framed.
This was a model hand made by the manufacturer to show how an embroidery will look when finished. Many of the finished embroidery that I sell are the sales model or photo models and have been in storage by the kit manufacturer all these years.
