    Description

    This is a nice and authentic bronze tetrassarion of the Emperor Gordian III (238-244), whose decent image was produced at the provincial mint of Marcianopolis (Thrace). The coin, which has a green patina, is protected in an acid-free coin flip with an acid-free info card that lists the following in Greek:
    M ANT GORDIANOS AVG (emperor on obverse)
    MARKIANOPOLITON (Tyche on reverse)
