Finished Elsa Williams Crewel Embroidery on Linen BLUEBERRY Flower 12x14 JCA New

Description

Up for auction a COMPLETED, hand crafted, vintage  Elsa Williams Crewel Embroidery.  It is a lovely picture of a bunch of blueberries. The official name is VACCIUM CORYMBOSUM.
The crewel embroidery is done on linen and the name of the flower is printed on the fabric.  It has a lovely  mat. There is a mark on the mat which shouldn't show once this is put into a frame.The embroidery is stapled to plywood backing. The mat is not attached so it can be changed to a different color. At one time this was attached to a frame as there are staple marks on the back of the plywood. The size is 12 x 14.
I haven't found this kit anywhere on the internet. Since the company is no longer manufacturing these kits, finding something like this in the future is pretty slim.
This have been tucked away at the original company Johnson Creative Arts since that time. I was able to acquire many of these original models. It was covered in plastic to protect it and the plastic was removed to take the photo.
I learned recently that the name on many of these finished pieces identified the company as JCA Inc. with an address in Massachusettes. They evidently ceased operations and will not be making/distributing anymore needlecraft kits. These finished piece from kits are already hard to find and will only be offered occasionally perhaps on the internet. Per the JCA website:
