Needlepoint and Petitpoint Pillow Peasant Woman Basket Vintage Country French

You are considering a very beautiful example of handstitched needlepoint.  This is unique in that there is a combination of needlepoint and petitpoint.  The peasant lady's face and hands are in petitpoint which help to accent and refine her features making the image much more life-like.  The balance of the scenery and her garments is in needlepoint.  The backing of the pillow cover is cotton velvet in dark brown and is an envelope.  The pillow insert appears to be new.  If you prefer I will omit the pillow and only ship the cover.  I believe the stitiching is 100% wool.  The condition is very good.  However, there is some color bleeding from the lady's rust-colored garment sleeve.  It was hard to photograph.  I believe it could be worked on and erased or, at least, lessened.  I do not think it detracts from the overall effect.  The pillow dimensions:     approx. 12" x 14".
