  • Condition: A little dust ,perhaps after 32 years in the show case. The glue joints may be a little loose after all these years.     Description

    For your consideration, this is an original ( rare) 1989( perhaps 1988) Cleve Taylor folk art carvinfg collected at Teton Village, Wyoming at a regional art fair on the grounds of the old Teoan Village. We ran across Cleve at his booth/tables and immediately recognized the superiority of his carvings  for the genre.  Bought 5 immediately  and had them shipped back to the home.
    Since then , Cleve went on to be recognized as an awardwinning carver and the auther of a few books on carving including : Cowboy Carving, Hangin' in There, Carving Mountain Men , Carving Motorcycle Rides, and Carving Fishermen. An amazing feat for someone who didn't start carving until after 55 years of age.
    An absolute gem of a carving and time to finally let this one go to a new home. Cleve, if you see this( believe he's still with us in Boise, Idaha) , we have enjoyed the carvings that we acquired back in 1989( or was it 1988 ?,lol) and you exceeded our expectations. Thanks again for the gratis carving you shipped a few months later. All of the carvings are still greatly admired.
