    Description

    Up at auction is Souvenir Views from Cave of the Mounds, Blue Mounds, Wisconsin.  10 views.  C. T. Photo-cote.  These small 3 1/2" x 2 1/8" views appear to be real photos.  Included:
    Broken Stalagmites in Cave of the Mounds Resemble Fried Eggs and Cherry Tarts The rounded center was the surface of the stalagmite at a time when the cave was dry and inactive.  When activity began again the new deposit did not seal tightly on the old surface.  When the formation was broken the break occurred along that old surface.
