STABLE TACH SIGNAL FROM
ANY
COIL!
PROBLEM:
Magnetos may fire when nothing else will, but getting a usable tach signal off a kill-wire is an exercise in futility.
NOT ANY MORE:
The ZSF2 works with Vertex, aviation and marine mags, and small-engine mags of all sorts.
PROBLEM:
You can't tap coil signal on a multi-fire CDI box like the MSD 6/6AL. If there's no digital output or the output quits working, you're sunk.
NOT ANY MORE:
Programmable timing settings from 500 microseconds to 4 milliseconds make any number of "multi-fire" discharges look like a single pulse.
PROBLEM:
Some
DIS packs and 2-wire COP's "ring" so badly at low speed that the tach reads wrong at idle. Guess I'm stuck with it.
NOT ANY MORE:
With timing settings out to 4 milliseconds per discharge, even the slowest-firing COP's can't confuse the ZSF2.
This tiny but mighty device can solve all those problems. It's the size of a nickel and
needs only 4 connections (power, ground, signal-in and signal-out). The settings can be changed "on the fly" to make finding the right timing for your ignition a snap. It's double-sealed with urethane over epoxy, so it's IP66 if you RTV the DIPs after setup. It's also vibration-proof and withstands temperatures to 225F, so it's
perfectly comfortable living in your engine box.
It comes with a 90-day warranty plus free email tech support if you need it.
