Large Inuit grey soapstone carving/sculpture of an Eskimo holding down a seal. From the collection of a noted fashion designer. Measuring approx. 11"l by 8"w by 4.25"h. This is a heavy carving weighing in at 9.6 pounds. There is wear consitant with age, some naturally occuring roughness to the stone. There is a crack to the eskimos left arm, may have been a repaired chip. A beautiful piece of inuit art!
